Last day of 2024

   Well we are in the final moments of 2024, and it was a hell of a year I must say.  The ups and downs were just insane to say the least.  on a personal note I did not need to burry a loved one this year that was a plus.   the insane legal issues my son found him self in was tossed out and expunged fully (thank god).  had some cash flow issues due to lot of family things that were quite expensive.  A wedding, college, some home issues from storm damage, the legal issues I just touched on.  but thank fully we pulled threw it all and yes we are ok.  then there was all the stuff that was out of control in society,  Isreal fighting a major multi front war and the Biden administration putting hand cuff on them.  The Russian invasion in the Ukraine still underway and if not stopped soon can touch off an even greater war.  China , North Korea, Iran all saber rattling.  the two assassination attempts on Trump.  Then the election its self  I said Trump was going to win and I also thought he would get the popular vote as well and yep bot the predictions come true.  not to shocked at it really  the population was getting sick of the status quo and the rising prices of everything.  not to mention the insanity of the DEI / woke ideology that was spreading.  and the political pendulum swung back to the right.   Only time will tell exactly what that looks like for the country.  

    So what will 2025 bring? I think well see some calming on the foreign policy department.  The war in Europe will possibly end and neither side will get exactly what they want but the blood will stop flowing.  a off ramp will be offered to Putin and there will be some behind the closed door meeting where a secret deal will be agreed on.  Russia will get to keep some land, the Ukraine will get some concessions and they will not be entering NATO but they will have guarantees backed by NATO.  China will go back to there left hand policy of a slow war with the west and stop probing Tiawan and continue to build there navy.  Iran will be re sanctioned and be forced to stop bank rolling  the terror proxy military's under there flag.   N. Korea will continue at status quo.  Now for state side predictions the prices at the store will trend down but this will be due to expanding energy production here in the states.  We will export LNG ( liquified natural gas ) to eastern Europe in order to stifle Russia energy exports and keep them broke for the next 4 years,   but they will pivot there oil and gas to China and India.  But that's not enough to keep the GDP afloat.  we will start to lower inflation stock market will go up, gas prices at both the pump and home heating will go down.  Oil will settle at $75-85 a barrel.  OPEC will increase out put hoping to lower the barrel price and hinder the American oil industry.  Now I'm not exactly sure what that will do.   I do not feel it will have much effect but to rising demand in the far east and that out put will fill the void there and the price will remain stable.  the house of Sod needs that oil money to stave off any internal turmoil in the country that will spread out regionally.  silver and gold prices will fall I see silver under 25 a troy ounce I can see gold falling back to 2k an ounce.  bit coin will run up and other cryptos will also trend higher.   housing and land will continue to trend up. 

  Will anything start to cool off?  Such as luxury items?   I believe we are already seeing that.  The supercar and high end car market are all ready falling,  watches are cooling off as well.  Even the collector market are falling back to earth.  comics are trending way down.  Cards, toys, and other collectables are all down and the trend doesn't seam to have a basement yet and now is the time to buy some of those items you were hunting.  the covid bubble is bursting.  there are always outliers to this very rare books are still taking gains and always will but those are very rare books like detective 27, action 1, exc.

WELL THAT ESCALATED QUICKLY

      I have been dealing with a lot of pain in my hands, wrists and arm for a little over two years now.  My right hand was always the worst of the two.  It got to the point where I cannot sleep, loosing feeling and in constant pain.  It feels like a match in lit in my wrist and as the day rolls on it becomes a blow torch.  I finally spoke with my PCP about it and got a referral to see a specialist.  and after a battery of testing its determined that I need an operation, at first it was carpal tunnel in my wrist but after speaking with the surgeon it was found I also need a operation on my nerve leading into the thumb on my right hand as well as an operation on my right elbow so four places need operated in total.  man, when I go big, I GO BIG I guess.      I'm hoping all this will clear up all the pain I'm in.  I need sleep and to be human once again.  I have several irons in the fire and need to be healthy.  I...

      On average I do an article on something in the news, foreign policy, economic, of something relevant in our world culture.  But today I want to switch gears and do a short peace on friends and the need for what I call a 2am friend.     Yes, there are differing rungs of friendship. and well start at the bottom.  the work buddy they are the guys you work with at the office, shop or field with.  you are friendly with one another have a level of trust knowing that if something happens to go sideways, they will try to help you.  You bust one another's chops, kid around and when the day ends you may tip a beer or two every once and a while.      Moving up is ladder is your neighbor they live next door and if you are lucky, you get along with them have cookout the kids play with each other.  You watch one and other property when away borrow a cup of sugar or help when the lawn mower brakes.  this friend knows a little ...
