TAURUS TRACKER .17 HMR
My father would always say a wheel gun is a real gun, and that man was almost never wrong. and he was spot on with that statement. There is just something cool about the revolver. especially one with a barrel longer than 2''. when you pull out that pistol and it just keeps coming and you are looking down that barrel at the front sight spike it just gives you that dirty harry feel. You feeling lucky punk? even if it's not some big bore shoots threw walls will stop a charging wild ford F-250 commin right for ya! I love my bolt cation 17 hmr and I figured I like this revolver as well and OMG was I right. I snapped this up used and it was love at first sight.
I found it at my local gun shop and was like yep I'm buying that. slapped the bank card on the counter filled out the normal proper paperwork and walked out a happy man. grabbed a few boxes of shells and ran right over to the property. I couldn't wait to squeeze the trigger on her.
I normally take several varieties of weapons to go pew pew with but NOPE not this time. it was me and the tracker alone in the woods. and at that moment I could not think of a better way to spend the rest of my afternoon.
The TAURUS TRACKER is a seven shot double cation revolver with a 6.5 inch barrel stainless steel medium frame pistol overall length is almost 11'' and weighing in at 47 oz unloaded so yeah she's got some heft to her. and yeah you can tell its heavy. but that don't bother me. the gun is very accurate and a absolute pleasure to shoot. the trigger is crisp the hammer pull is a bit heavy but not too bad I just feel its a bit harder that it needs to be for such a small caliber.
Why the .17 hmr over a 22 mag ? well I have a mag as well, but I figure if I'm out with the long gun version I may as well have the side arm for ease of only needing to deal with one caliber and not fuss around with several different rounds when out hunting small game or whatever I'm doing.
this is a great side arm for the outdoors enthusiasts' trappers, small game hunters, target shooters the list goes on. Ill probably get even more trigger time with it as soon as I get some more free time. remember guys get out there and train. take classes and ask questions. I like doing brief simple reviews like this if you enjoy content like this, please let me know.
have a great day
