is the BATFE going away?

     Quick post here are we about to witness not only the end of the department of education and have that kicked back to the determination of the states?  and now is the BATFE (bureau of alcohol tobacco firearms and explosives) about to get absorbed into the FBI?  

    It looks like this is a possibility since Kash Patel was recently sworn in as the new director of the federal bureau of investigation then is a bit of a surprise he was also sworn in as the acting chief of the BATFE.  Now admittedly I am only going by speculation and a bit of a gut feeling here so take this with a grain of salt, but I see a merger of the two agencies on the horizon.  this fits with Trumps plan on shrinking the size and scope of the federal government.  the ATF has always been a target for slashing since its inception and was never a favor of the citizens of the country.  with its leadership constantly flip flopping on its "rulings" and at times making law abiding citizens felons overnight.  IE the bump stock rule, or the pistol brace rule. both were struck down but for a short time there a good cross section of the population was breaking the law and probably had no idea they were doing so due to miss communication and bad and hard to decipher legal language designed to muddy the waters and scare people into compliance.  

    I for one would like to see the BATFE dismantled the investigation wing folded into the FBE the legal team disbanded and let go. end the NFA kill the tax stamp and let suppressors and SBR (short barrel riffles) be a normal item that can be purchased as if you are buying a normal firearm.    The SBR law is outdated anyway with the advent of the pistol brace anyway and the suppressor argument is moot as well and having access to a good noise dampener has a few upsides 1 hunting, when hunting in and around areas where people live it reduces the noise.  2 helps save in hearing loose and this is a health benefit.  that is just two reasons for them.  

    Do I see the BATFE going away?  im afraid not but at the minimum I love to see a good gutting and restructure.

WELL THAT ESCALATED QUICKLY

      I have been dealing with a lot of pain in my hands, wrists and arm for a little over two years now.  My right hand was always the worst of the two.  It got to the point where I cannot sleep, loosing feeling and in constant pain.  It feels like a match in lit in my wrist and as the day rolls on it becomes a blow torch.  I finally spoke with my PCP about it and got a referral to see a specialist.  and after a battery of testing its determined that I need an operation, at first it was carpal tunnel in my wrist but after speaking with the surgeon it was found I also need a operation on my nerve leading into the thumb on my right hand as well as an operation on my right elbow so four places need operated in total.  man, when I go big, I GO BIG I guess.      I'm hoping all this will clear up all the pain I'm in.  I need sleep and to be human once again.  I have several irons in the fire and need to be healthy.  I...

      On average I do an article on something in the news, foreign policy, economic, of something relevant in our world culture.  But today I want to switch gears and do a short peace on friends and the need for what I call a 2am friend.     Yes, there are differing rungs of friendship. and well start at the bottom.  the work buddy they are the guys you work with at the office, shop or field with.  you are friendly with one another have a level of trust knowing that if something happens to go sideways, they will try to help you.  You bust one another's chops, kid around and when the day ends you may tip a beer or two every once and a while.      Moving up is ladder is your neighbor they live next door and if you are lucky, you get along with them have cookout the kids play with each other.  You watch one and other property when away borrow a cup of sugar or help when the lawn mower brakes.  this friend knows a little ...
