RUSSIA looking for that off ramp

     The Ukraine war is in desperate need of an ending.  but the two sides in question are not looking to budge on the demands.  Putin seeks to keep all the territory they captured and, but the ultimate dream was and most likely is to have the entire region back behind the former iron curtain. But there is no way that will happen on the other side of the coin Zelensky wants a full withdrawal of all Russian forces from his country, entrance into NATO and assurances that if invaded the west will come to the aid of the Ukraine not only with money but bodies.  again, not all this will be offered up on the table. 

    The US and Russia began high level talks in Saudi-Arabia the other day freezing out the European counter parts as well as the Ukraine itself, some are angry over this decision by Washington saying that Trump will give Putin a "sweetheart" deal and freeze out the rest of Europe, while forcing Zelensky's hand.  is this a justifiable argument? I don't feel it is there is no love-loss between Trum and Putin they respect one and other but no not like each other on a visceral level.  Putin looks at Trump as a wild card and is nervus to push him.   Not knowing exactly how he will react and what exactly Trump will do.  Putin understands he is walking into this from a disadvantage point and the west holds the majority of the cards in this game.  I feel there are two major options and BOTH will be true.

1 there will be a deal struck Both parties will not be 100% satisfied with the outcome but that is what a negotiation is looking for and agreeing on the compromise.  now Russia will receive the Donbas region they, will allow Russia to have sanctions partially lifted at first with more loosening in time as things progress.  This will let the already flatlining Russian economy to get a heartbeat back.  and Ukraine will NOT enter NATO.  and the former agreements of no NATO expansion towards Russia will be honored. 2 the Ukraine will receive aid by the west for re construction, they will sign over a portion of the countries mineral and gas / oil reserves to the West as a form of re payment.  in doing so Russian forces will stop there advance into the country halt all ongoing military operations and pull out of the country and back to Russian borders.  Ukraine will receive assurances that they will be protected by the west in case another incursion like this takes place especially since there will be significant economic ties now this gives a good off ramp for the two parties in question.  Putin looks good to his people stating look I got more land for Mother Russia, and we will have assurances of the future of Russian Energy exporting.   Zelensky get to say " I know I said that well never give up an inch of land to Russia, but it was not my fault the Americans forced my hand" but look at what we gained...  this also stops the unnecessary death on both sides the battlefield.  is it a perfect ending NO but it's a viable ending to a war that never should of started in the first place.  this was all put in motion due to weakness of our leaders here in the west.  Russia smelled blood and thought hey I bet the Americans won't do a thing if we invade and they miscalculated this time and now that there is a " wild card " in the white house an end to the matter is most likely at hand

    The anger from the European Union this is almost laughable.  let's steep back and ask ourselves why is the EU leadership so angry?  well, it's simple they were left out and for a good reason after WWII Europe was left in basic ruin and the only country left standing was the United States with the oceans as a buffer zone and the might of our manufacturing capacity, we were the loan giant. And this afforded us some privileges we took over most of the re construction of Europe we dictated terms and agreements and foreign policy both is Japan and Europe.  So, the metaphoric keys to the world were dropped on the desk of the white house and we become the DeFacto police of the world   The US built up its military might ramp up investments in the security sectors established a more robust foreign policy department as well as some of the most dangerous and effective intelligence agencies in the world Established alignments and agreements with other nations to insure their safety and defense placing them under the umbrella of the US military and out Nuclear Strike capabilities costing the American government and the American People trillions of dollars over the decades.  us spending this cash of the worlds defense took some tool on the people.   Where Europe was able to spend money on socialized health care and free internet, because they were free from worry of a war knowing all too well that the US will run to their aid.  I can go on and on about this, but I will let it lay here.  But recently in the last 48 hours the EU called an emergency meeting to talk about the new Washington problem.  and that problem is the US is no longer going to foot the majority of the defense costs for the world and the US is demanding that the EU pony up and start to live up to the GDP agreements that were agreed on when the defense agreements were written in the 1950's where the participating countries need to put in 5% of their GDP  for defense purposes.  Only Poland was close to this target at 3% the rest were 1%and some were under that.  Now they understand that they need to step it up and get on board the prime minister of England stated at the meeting yes, we all must step up our efforts in defense and start ramping up our capabilities. and not be so reliant on the Americans.  I personally feel this was a move by Washington to nudge the NATO nations to take a hard look at themselves and see that they got fat and lazy for the past 70 years and now it's time to try to turn the ship around.  If this does take place than yes there will be a seat at the negotiation table for them to help dictate terms.  as for Zelensky his time at the table will come soon I understand as does the world he needs to talk hard to his people sound like a hard nose leader.  We get and understand this.  He also realizes that the end of this war needs to start soon his country is putting up a good fight, but the world is losing interest, and the help will slowly dry up he knows this is the chance to save face keep the country intact and still remain a hero and in power.
