WALTHER P22

    Every collection needs a solid .22 and the room is crowed with some fantastic choices.  But today well focus on the     WALTHER P22 semi auto rimfire pistol.  Walther have been around for over 139 years and have garnered a fantastic reputation for everything from reliability to comfort.  They put out some iconic weapons over the decades from the models 8 and 9 the PP PPK the P38 during WWII that is to just name a few of the game changers the company put out.  
    Walther is known for their quality engineering and accuracy and the P22 is no slouch in this line as well the first time I held it in my hand if fit like a glove no matter how large or small your hand is this gun just feels perfect, I have normal size hands I wear a large glove, but my wife is petit and she loves how it feel and on the other end of the spectrum my work wife Steve has large hands and he love the way it feel as well

    So how does it shoo?  the trigger is very nice a bit of pull, but you do get used to it quickly and it does not affect the shooting whatsoever the gun is actually a pleasure to take to the range accurate easy to control and keep on target.  I like using this as a trainer.  the ammo is plentiful again and still affordable over that of larger calibers say 9mm so I can hit the range send hundreds of rounds down range and not worry about the kid's college fund.  I can practice drills and all with this as well as transitioning from side arm to long gun (yes, I have a .22 blot carrier and mags for the AR for just this situation).  but were veering off course right now.  I like the sights I have not changed a thing from the stock ones that come with the weapon for the most part it is stock I did swap out the barrel and put in a threaded one so it can accept a suppressor I recommend buying the threaded version if its available when you are looking but I'd not the switch out is cheap and easy I did it foe sub 50 bucks.  the biggest downside I have is the round count only 10 rounds single stack this can and should be a double stack or if you, incest on staying single stack make it 15 plus one because ten rounds are just not enough, this is an easy fix the spring in the mag takes up way too much room and with some reconfiguration another 5 rounds can be added.  other than that, I don't have anything bad to say about it whatsoever.

WELL THAT ESCALATED QUICKLY

      I have been dealing with a lot of pain in my hands, wrists and arm for a little over two years now.  My right hand was always the worst of the two.  It got to the point where I cannot sleep, loosing feeling and in constant pain.  It feels like a match in lit in my wrist and as the day rolls on it becomes a blow torch.  I finally spoke with my PCP about it and got a referral to see a specialist.  and after a battery of testing its determined that I need an operation, at first it was carpal tunnel in my wrist but after speaking with the surgeon it was found I also need a operation on my nerve leading into the thumb on my right hand as well as an operation on my right elbow so four places need operated in total.  man, when I go big, I GO BIG I guess.      I'm hoping all this will clear up all the pain I'm in.  I need sleep and to be human once again.  I have several irons in the fire and need to be healthy.  I...

      On average I do an article on something in the news, foreign policy, economic, of something relevant in our world culture.  But today I want to switch gears and do a short peace on friends and the need for what I call a 2am friend.     Yes, there are differing rungs of friendship. and well start at the bottom.  the work buddy they are the guys you work with at the office, shop or field with.  you are friendly with one another have a level of trust knowing that if something happens to go sideways, they will try to help you.  You bust one another's chops, kid around and when the day ends you may tip a beer or two every once and a while.      Moving up is ladder is your neighbor they live next door and if you are lucky, you get along with them have cookout the kids play with each other.  You watch one and other property when away borrow a cup of sugar or help when the lawn mower brakes.  this friend knows a little ...
