Last day of 2024

Well we are in the final moments of 2024, and it was a hell of a year I must say.  The ups and downs were just insane to say the least.  on a personal note I did not need to burry a loved one this year that was a plus.   the insane legal issues my son found him self in was tossed out and expunged fully (thank god).  had some cash flow issues due to lot of family things that were quite expensive.  A wedding, college, some home issues from storm damage, the legal issues I just touched on.  but thank fully we pulled threw it all and yes we are ok.  then there was all the stuff that was out of control in society,  Isreal fighting a major multi front war and the Biden administration putting hand cuff on them.  The Russian invasion in the Ukraine still underway and if not stopped soon can touch off an even greater war.  China , North Korea, Iran all saber rattling.  the two assassination attempts on Trump.  Then the...

Christmas

Well tomorrow is Christmas and I think I have everything in order well I hope I do at least.   the wife takes care of most the shopping and the family stuff I work a crazy amount and she really picks up the  slack.  now she has been working a lot her self so we really did not go all out for it.      well head to the in-laws tonight and exchange gifts, eat, and just have a nice time all together.  I will walk over to see my family from time to time its nice having the families so close together in walking distance from one another.    Then tomorrow is Christmas well relax my kids will come over and well relax Ill give them the main gift tomorrow.  But Friday is second Christmas.  Were doing this because this year was a pretty intense one financially for us.   A wedding, college tuition, rent for the steep daughter at school.  as well as some legal issues my son found his way into. But never had ...

zero tolerance knives

Well I have been avoiding going to the gun shop or sporting goods sections/ stores. because I do not want to spend any cash on anything currently.  I have been paying down bills and pushing extra cash into comic books and records.  for my side business of doing cons around the tristate area.  I enjoy selling books and records at shows and the extra cash helps.  I know what you are thinking wat does this have to do with zero tolerance knives? short answer nothing long answer again nothing lol  BUT I did get a new knife. and yep its  a ZT.     But Mike you said you were not spending any cash of anything new at the moment and yes that is 100 percent correct.  and no ZT did not send me a free blade or any thing.   I get it because my normal day to day job has a program called I THRIVE and we got points.  and I was able to convert my points into a gift card from a large out doors box store and I added just under 30...

are high point fire arms trash or a viable option?

This is an argument that is debated hotly in fire arm and survival circles.  well here is my hot take on the issue.  NO they are not as awful as the population makes them out to be.  I have a few of them I picked up over the years now I only paid for one of them and the rest were gifted to me.  now with that said lets get into the matter.   When I first become aware of this brand they were know as haskel.  My friend Chris bought it in a whim used.  It was a .45 acp single stack felt like a brick in the hand rattled trigger was horrid semi accurate and just about impossible to carry hidden.   it stuck out like a sour thumb it printed no matter how you tried to hide it.  it was a little larger than full size.  we shot the hell out of it,  it well worked  ... it shot what ever we feed it.  I was shocked to say the least.  but after a while it started to jam, mis fire exc.   and yep finally it passed ...

the gold standard

I was listening to the radio on my way to the shop this morning and a radio spot come on stating " America is heading back to the gold standard" and you need to buy gold ...   Well Yes you definitely need to at least think about putting items such as silver, gold, platinum exc into your wealth savings portfolio.  for no other reason as they are a great store of wealth.  metals such as the ones I just stated have never been worth zero.  and are a great wat to hedge on inflation. Now with that said are we inching to the "the gold standard" once again?  heck NO we as a country are way to in debt for that to take place.  there is not enough gold on the earth to soak up the debt we as a nation face.   As of right now 12/2/24 at 5:40 am est gold sits at $2643.14 at ounce and silver is at $31.00 a ounce.  If we scrapped the fiat based currency policy we are currently in all precious metals will sky rocket.  silver will be in the hund...
